Ad Grouping

Group multiple creative variations together for organized ad set creation and streamlined A/B testing.

How It Works

When you upload files with consistent naming patterns and identifiers (like -hook1, -hook2), Ads Uploader can automatically group them into organized ad sets. This allows you to test multiple variations of the same creative concept while keeping your campaign structure clean and manageable.

Naming Format

Pattern: base_name + identifier + .extension

Base Name	Identifier	Result
`summer_sale`	`-hook1`	`summer_sale-hook1.mp4`
`summer_sale`	`-hook2`	`summer_sale-hook2.mp4`
`summer_sale`	`-hook3`	`summer_sale-hook3.mp4`

All three files will be grouped into a single "summer_sale" ad set.

Toggle "Group variations" ON in the Uploader panel
Set your identifier pattern (e.g., -hook)
Upload your files with consistent naming

✅ Correct Grouping

Combining with Other Features

With Aspect Ratios

Each variation can have its own aspect ratio versions:

With Thumbnails

Each variation can have its own thumbnail:

Ad Set Modes

Choose how your uploads are organized into ad sets:

Single Ad Set

All uploads go into one ad set. Best for simple campaigns with a few creatives.

Per Upload or Group

Creates a new ad set for each upload (or group when variation grouping is enabled).

Options:

Ad Set Name Pattern - Use {filename}, {index}, {date} placeholders
Group Variations - Combine files with matching base names into one ad set

Auto-Divide

Automatically splits your uploads into multiple ad sets based on a fixed number of ads per set.
